As we state on our about page, our mission is simple, it’s to ensure that our readers have a safe, cheap and enjoyable travel experience.

We believe there is a lot of misinformation out there, and useful travel information that you don’t find out until it’s too late – we aim to put an end to that with our extremely well researched and super detailed guides.

And this mission essentially lies at the heart of the vision and values of what we do, and all the content we produce. We do in-depth research and fact finding, combined with personal experience and knowledge, so that  you don’t have to, pulling it all into a guide that we feel will genuine help the reader – if a piece of content we write doesn’t achieve this, it won’t go live.

Throughout the website we do link to external sources as references or to attribute information, but we are not responsible for their content or views. If a post is paid for, contains adverts or sponsorships in anyway, this will be made clear on the post itself.

We hold ourselves accountable for the content we provide and every article must be honest, accurate and fact checked to the best of our ability as journalists. Commercial Content

We want to make it very clear that although you may find sponsored post or advertisements throughout the website our post is never influenced by them. The content within the articles still needs to adhere to these editorial guidelines, we control what is posted on The Travel Advisory – not the advertiser, if we don’t believe it to be helpful, informative or true we will reject the piece or advert.

On occasions the same is true of affiliate style links. We do place affiliate links from booking site partners within our posts which have unique tracking IDs, and in return if a purchase is made we will receive a small revenue to help keep the site going. We also want to make it clear that this is of a secondary importance to the article itself, the procedure we follow is we write the article based on genuine research and experience, and if it so happens content within the article we have an affiliate relationship too, we will add that link – NOT the other way around, content is NOT written with the sole purpose of containing affiliate links.
